Post matrix-reloaded reflections

2 cents worth, i'm not spoiling anything don't worry
basically three things, plot theme and figHting. oh and the ending. firstly, the

figHtinG is very good! as usual. matrix makes fighting cool by doing some stuff: brilliant camera angles such that you see the fight in new ways, plus the way they fight which is always unconventional, and exploitation of the fact that these are not -normal- people fighting. fighting here includes chases and gunfights. and each fight is distinct from the others and not just-another-fight further down the story. it's a good thing that fighting's good, because the

plot is quite sucky. the good thing is the directing-cinematography is so good you won't notice it *during* the movie itself, it's very well disguised, it takes you by the hand, like a donne poem where the ill logics don't show until the reflection of the poem. this plot is a very typical quest plot kind of thing, the know where to go, get it, go somewhere sort. also, specifically, though, plot is very complex, it's v. hard to get! the

theme is very different, it sticks out. throughout the action movie you see some heavy philosophising, much heavier than matrix one. it's very obvious when the characters just sink into their philosophy mode. and this time the values they suggest to the viewer is more un-subtle and hence not really very persuasive. but you decide.

the ending is like the first lord of the rings movie! you'd know what i mean.

postscript: if anything you have to watch it twice: for the fighting and to clear all the blurness bout the plot :l

Ok. Something to say....For today's CA and GK quiz, Wenyu says everyone in the teams did pretty well. =) Most with scores above 100 points....I guess that's something good! Hahaha. And therefore, barring any surprises tomorrow, one team will be in the finals. That is, assuming that Wenyu is speaking the truth. But in any case, i believe (hope) that we will do well in this. Mwahahaha.

Heh, btw, to -facilitate- swop-feste, I've amazingly wuliao-ly catalogued all my most important self-bought books on the yahoogroups site and encourage everyone to do the same so the theoretical class library thing will be actualized! Yay communist altruistic act of the day *beams*

and of course ZK has amazingly catalogued his entire CD collection o.O so you MUST go check it out.
